Flooding Fisherman

"Flooding Fisherman" made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 53 Game Jam.

It's a game about trying to balance fishing to maintain your livelyhood and saving the people of your village during a flood disaster and delivering them to safety.

What would you do if you had to choose between saving your fellow villagers or your boss’s aquarium fish? That’s the dilemma Mr. Zacarias faced. After an accident destroyed the floodgate of a reservoir and flooded the entire village, his boss demanded that he retrieve and deliver all of the fish to safety. Take control of Mr. Zacarias and his fishing rods to catch fish, rescue humans, and navigate your boat through the flooded village.

HOW TO PLAY:

"LEFT CLICK" to pick up/drop objects and people

Press "RIGHT CLICK" with rods in hand to charge your rod launch, release to shoot the string

"WASD" to move around

EACH ROD HAS ITS USE

Your objective is catch as many fish and save as many people as you can while trying to survive the incoming obstacles. Your score is shown at the end of the level. Full gameplay takes about 5 minutes!

• Fixed boat taking damage multiple times from one source of damage
• Fixed boat weight calculation adding multiple times from each object
• Fixed obstacle hitbox teleporting out of place
• Fixed boat hitbox using children’s trigger collider
• Fixed Zacarias’ walk cycle animation speed not speeding up correctly
• Fixed Water Shader displaying a black line at the corner of the screen
• Fixed Water Shader’s bump map not working correctly
